Meet Georgie
Hey, I’m Georgie 🤍
Dancing has been part of my life for as long as I can remember — it’s never really been something I did, it’s something I am.
I first stepped onto the dance floor at just four years old, hand-in-hand with my twin sister. My mom (Maggie) has been a dance teacher for over 45 years, so dance was always part of our world growing up. The dance floor quickly became a second home, and I was incredibly lucky to learn from the very best. People often say I’m a chip off the old block, which I take as a huge compliment.
Dance has shaped my life in so many ways, from lifelong friendships to unforgettable experiences like appearing on Britain’s Got Talent at 13. Country music and line dancing have always been at the heart of my world — my dad was deeply involved in the country scene and owned a western wear business, so boots, hats, music, and dancing were simply part of everyday life for us. Growing up in that environment, and now experiencing it again as a mum of two myself, has given me an even deeper appreciation for the sense of community and belonging that line dancing creates.
I began teaching at 17 after completing my dance and fitness qualifications and went on to teach a range of styles. While I loved exploring different forms of dance, my heart always came back to line dancing. There’s something special about it — the music, the shared energy, and the feeling of dancing together — that nothing else quite matches.
In 2021, I returned fully to teaching line dance classes, and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Today, I teach line dancing exclusively and feel incredibly proud of the welcoming, supportive community that has grown around my classes.
My classes aren’t about perfection — they’re about confidence, connection, and feeling comfortable being yourself. Whether it’s your first class or you’ve been dancing for years, my aim is always to create a safe space where people can switch off, enjoy the music, and feel at home on the dance floor.
Watching confidence grow, friendships form, and people walk out smiling is why I do what I do. It’s a privilege to share the dance floor with such amazing people, and I never take that for granted.
I can’t wait to welcome you onto the dance floor 🤠💗
